Programs

Structure of Educational Program

The school year is organized into a series of themes that are accompanied by activities.  Crafts, songs, stories, field trips and visitors are designed to heighten the child's awareness of themselves, the family, the community and our world.

The daily program consists of:

Freeplay - a wide assortment of sensory activity areas have been established around the room, including a puppet theatre, puzzle area, blocks area, train table, water table, Lego table, sand table, science area and a comfortable reading area filled with library books.

Circle & Story Time - songs, stories, weather, calendar, show and tell, star of the week, colours, letters, numbers, and other cognitive academic activities.

Creative - paint easels, daily special theme related craft, free expression art table, playdough table .

Snack - nutritious and delicious nut-free snack, children are guided in using good hygiene, manners and independence.

Gym - large, safe and well equipped indoor gym to provide an effective area for games and gross motor development.

Dramatic Centre - use of costumes and props for free expression and role-playing.
